This is MJ's voice. I have all his CDs, I've heard him live and this is MJ - this is the MOST recognizable voice on EARTH!

I think that stupid childlike fans are just creating negative hype around this realease. 2000 watts is then Usher????? What?? Every fan should know that he liked to experiment with his vocals all the time.

But the song is nothing special, even the worst songs on Dangerous are better or at the same level.

No right away I heard the acapella of "the way you make me feel, scream, and bad"..then all of a sudden its some random dude trying to sing like mj. No....this is not him and I am very saddened that some people actually think this is him, especially after hearing the acapella.

Seriously....u can't know his voice that well if you thought the vocals on the verses are him.

I would suggest you go and find the michael jackson acapella archive...clearly they took samples from this set and blended those in with this guy singing the verses. His vibrato is waaay off...his grunts sound like a young guy in his twenties...I don't want to say this either but he doesn't sound like a black guy with soul either.

It's not stupid childlike fans, a majority of fans online believe the 3 songs that were submitted by these particular individuals are fake. One song titled "All I Need" is very similar to a song of the same name by a guy named Jason Malachi who's songs have been thought to be Michael's

there have been polls on different forums and the majority of the votes believe it's not MJ

I'm completely confused and don't know what the hell y'all are talking about or what this thread is all about.

Did someone else record a song and try to release it under the name "Michael Jackson" or try to include it on a forthcoming album of previously unreleased Michael Jackson songs?

Also, if there is a future Michael Jackson album that is going to be released of previously unreleased Michael Jackson songs, how old are the songs? If they were recorded any later than the "Dangerous" era, I'm not interested.

I'll break it down for you lol

There is a new Michael Jackson album on the way containing tracks recorded in recent years.A song called "Breaking News",recorded in 2007,was released on Monday. Many of Jackson's fans and some family members do not believe that it's Michael's vocals on the track. The vocals sound like an imitator,so there is a big controversy going on.The song has since been removed from the album.

I'm not sure how old most of the songs on the album are,but I have a feeling that the album will consist mostly of tracks recorded during the last few years.

They can keep that album then. I have no interest in anything that even slightly sounds like today's sound. Even if a song (by any artist) has even the smallest hint of today's sound, I despise it.

There's nothing wrong with saying that. Hell, none of today's black artists have any soul so that's nothing shocking. Lawrence Welk was more hip than these motherfuckers. lol

nod "Breaking News" is garbage.I really wish they would dig deeper in the vaults and find some outtakes from the 'Off The Wall' period.Or some stuff from the early 80s.

This album is some of the tracks Michael was working on in his last years. Off The Wall outtakes will probably come next year biggrin

I heard that he was working on an album called 'Resurrection',several years ago.Truth or rumor? hmmm

Resurrection (Michael Jackson)

Resurrection is the rumoured title of an album Michael Jackson was working on in 2003. Production of the album was haulted in late 2003 when Jackson was arrested and charged with child sex abuse (see: Michael Jackson trial

).

Rumoured tracklist

The track list for the album was never revealed, however there were many rumours of songs, as well as several internet leaks of demos of songs Jackson was working on during 2003. Songs that were rumoured to be on "Resurrection" included:
*"Another Day" (with Lenny Kravitz) - a song Jackson recorded with Lenny Kravitz. Kravitz said of the song, "working with Michael Jackson was probably the best recording experience of my life. He was totally cool, absolutely professional and a beautiful, beautiful guy. And let's not forget, Michael is a musical genius".
*"Crush" - a song Jackson was rumoured to have recorded in 2003.
*"Prayer for Peace" (with Barry Gibb) - a song Jackson was rumoured to have recorded with Barry Gibb. Both musicians have neither confirmed nor denied this song.
*"Pressure" - a song Jackson recorded in 2003. Appears on the ASCAP website.
*"Seduction" - a song Jackson recorded in 2003. Appears on the ASCAP website.
*"Ekam Satyam (The One Truth)" - a song Jackson was rumoured to have recorded with A.R. Rahman.
*"The Pain" - a song Jackson recorded in 2003. Appears on the ASCAP website.
*"Trust in My Heart" - a song Jackson was rumoured to have recorded in 2003.
*"Xscape" - a song that was leaked to the internet in early 2003, later confirmed to be real.

Other songs that were recorded during the Invincible sessions, but not release on the album, that may have been kept for the 2003 album:

First sessions (1999-2000)

*"All My Children" (Michael Jackson, T. Riley, R.C. Stites)
*"Do You Love Me?" (Babyface)
*"Do You Want Me?" (Sisqo, Dru Hill)
*"Kick It" (M. Jackson, R. Jerkins, F. Jerkins, L.S. Daniels, N.Gregg)
*"On My Anger" (M. Jackson, T. Riley)
*"Seeing Voices" (M. Jackson, R. Charles, Sidney Fine)
*"She Was Lovin' Me" (M. Jackson, C. Rooney)
*"The Gloved One" (Sisqo)
*"This Is Our Time" (M. Jackson, D. Foster, L. Hill)
*"What's A Guy Gotta Do?" (Pharell Williams)

Second sessions(2000-2001)

*"House Of Style" (M.Jackson, T.Riley, Tyrese, A.Harris)
*"I Don't Live Anymore" (M.Jackson)
*"Maybe We Can Do It" (M. Jackson, P.Diddy, R. Jerkins)

The demo of What's A Guy Gotta Do was re recorded by Usher prior to Here I Stand in 2007 I believe..or could have been earlier...I can see where the Mj vocals would come in...it just needs more production.

Well, some people would say of MJ in his later years- [Halt! no no no! Don't even go there - ed.] wink Yeah, I know what you mean about the samples: there's definitely been a lot of vocal snippets (screams, breaths, etc) mixed in for effect. It still basically sounds like him to me, though.

Are there certain bits you guys that aren't convinced think really 'give the game away'? I'm just not hearing it at the moment.

(The other acapella link had been pulled, so I posted a new one.)

seems to me like folks are in denial and like a conspiracy. The vocals are clearly him, and Joe Vogel's article explains the lengths that Sony Records went to confirm this fact. Fans listening to it and saying "no way that's him!!!!" are more knowledgeable about these recordings that actual producers and musicians who've worked with him? Nah.

As Vogel explains, everything that comes out posthumously is not going to have the same finished quality as Jackson's released studio work, in particular with the vocals. You either want the material, or you don't. I don't know what folks are expecting.

Its not that but the singer does not sound like a man over thirty or forty even...sounds like a kid emulating Michael in his twenties...and by then Michael was alredy an outstanding singer...this kids voice is not that well trained and his vibrato is not that deep or in the same accent and keys that Michael used fluently. Like Tj said earlier, NO ONE questioned "This Is It" when it came out..not one person at all.

You know that Sony were asked to give up the hardware that he "recorded it on" and they said MJ wanted it all thrown away after it was done...then they asked for the original PC and they said that it was destroyed..haha yeah right! I am torn if I want to cancel my pre-order or not.

I know this garbage track isn't Michael. No way.

Let's be real..Teddy was probably paid well for his

"contributions." Even if he said he wasn't, he is

probably lying. Fool me once....

In other news..looks like this track is alive and well on the album.

Sony would rather release it, and keep things as planned, then

go back and change things at last minute now.

Someone should release a statement saying this song is trash.

Since in this day and age, all it takes for something to be fact is

a statement being released about it.

F*** You Howard.
