This was a jam from the first Isley Brothers album I ever bought. Great album from beginning to end. Andy is a four letter word.

His little cute ass wasn't born until 1982 so he had to discover it later. It's certainly not like the radio has been wearing the jam out for years because if it's not an Isley Brothers slow jam, they won't play it. Andy is a four letter word.

Yeah you don't even hear jams like The Pride, Fight the Power, or Who Loves You Better on the radio anymore. The only uptempo jam you hear by the Isleys on the radio nowadays if Who's That Lady which i love too. Don't laugh at my funk

That's why I stopped listening to monopolized radio. Fuck that shit. They want people to think that all they've been doing for six decades was "slow jams". FUCK OUTTA HERE!!!

I'll give you a sampler of what to expect.
And I didn't even have to mention but maybe I will that "Take Me to the Next Phase", "Coolin' Me Out" and "Groove with You" are on the same album.

I know...I accidentally bumped into liking them on the urge of buying Between The Sheets..basically skipped the first side and heard Ballad Of The Fallen Soldier..I wanted it...so I bought it without listening to the rest...when Way Out Love came on....I was kind of shocked... I loved the album, when I heard "Touch Me" from side one, I was kinda shocked that Ron was still able to pull vocals from his gospel growl rather than just keep it light like he did on "Between the Sheets", "Need Your Body" and "Let's Make Love Tonight". The same vocals he used on "Choosey Lover". Side 2 proved they were still getting down even in the end of the 3 + 3 run. "Gettin' Over", "Slow Down Children", "Way Out Love", "Rock You Good"...SOLID NUMBERS! "Rock You Good" is definitely a b-boy anthem.

Everything the Isleys did between 1973 and 1983 is worth having. Nobody sounded like them.
The earlier and later eras are more specialized tastes, in my opinion.
