But in all sincerity, you don't reach the level of fame and wealth Beyonce has by being slow. That's ridiculous. I'm not a fan, but even I can see the woman is clearly driven. She's stated I don't know how many times that she wants to be an icon, a lá Barbra Streisand- as an actress, a singer, a brand...she wants not only to have grammys, but she wants an emmy, a tony, and an oscar, and she wants to direct (the latter which will be pretty difficult considering she can't act worth a damn). As for her family, I don't think it's about her parents dictating her career vs. the family as a whole working to build a dynasty. The Knowles, collectively, are ensuring to leave their imprint on any and everything they can get their little hands on so that we'll never be able to escape hearing about them in some venture or other for as long as we live

And that's why I can't with some of this people in here sometimes. Bey is probably more real about what she does as an artist than most of those who this board tend to worship in here.
