Queen Reissues In 2011 [img:$uid]http://i56.tinypic.com/zvwtq0.jpg[/img:$uid]
November 2010
After nearly 40 years at EMI, the surviving members of Queen have signed a deal with Universal that will see every one of their 15 studio albums remastered and rereleased in 2011. Fifteen Queen reissues next year, people!
In honor of the band’s upcoming 40th anniversary, the first five Queen albums — 1973’s Queen, 1974’s Queen II and Sheer Heart Attack, 1975’s A Night at the Opera and 1976’s A Day at the Races — will all be available in March. No word yet on when the rest of the band’s catalogue will be rereleased.
“We are very excited, after all this time, to be embarking on a new phase of our career, with a new record company, with new ideas, and new dreams,” guitarist Brian May said in a statement.
The news is a big blow for EMI, who has also lost other big-name acts like Paul McCartney, Radiohead and The Rolling Stones since 2007.

About time! I'll definitely pick up Sheer Heart Attack, Night at the Opera, The Game and perhaps Jazz and Innuendo... | |
