Zoey is a singer?? I like her as an actress though..she's cute and quirky.

yeah i think she released an EP. she also sings (attempts to sing) in those damn cotton commercials. Her voice is like nails on chalkboard whilst a toilet is flushing.

The Beastie Boys, Weezer, Bob Marley, The Beach Boys, Paul McCartney, Radiohead and A Tribe Called Quest are all crap.... BOB MARLEY IS CRAP!?!? lol At least the OP had the foresight to include "you think" in the thread title. I don't even like all those bands (never got The Beach Boys), but I know none of them are crap. Some of the stuff in this thread I fully and totally agree with. But some of the answers are just, like, "wha-wha-WHAAAAT?!" lol

lol

It's fine to say something is crap because you don't like their music...but to say that some of these people do not have talent is just plain laughable.

Are they the ones that sang that "Kiss Me" song? eek I love that song!!!!!

Culture Club? Really? They're not that good but not that bad either. lol

Yes, they only have one credible song , "Kiss Me", just like Meredith Brooks only has "Biatch"

I'd rather eat a box of nails than listen to Vulture Club...

Yea i'm from Glasgow, nice to see a fellow Glaswegian on here. Well i agree Macca churned out "granny" music post Beatles. With regard to me mentioning The Beatles, Marley etc on my list. It is easy to name acts that are blatantly bad, Nickelback, Kanye West etc etc. Acts that i think are crap but controversial choices make for more interesting discussion. The Beatles were vastly overrated in my honest opinion, perhaps crap is too harsh. Bob Marley is CRAP!.. and it is not because i don't like some reggae influenced music. I like the specials for example. Its a matter of personal choice i guess.

now that I think about it, the New Romantic & Early 80s New Wave was not that good hmmm of that era, I only truly like Duran Duran (worship), Eurythmics , Simple Minds, The Human League and ABC...

Spandau Ballet can go to hell as far as I'm concerned, I prefer Set Adrift on a Memory Bliss over True (or was it Gold?)

Duran Duran headbang

And Tears For Fears. I actually think they were underrated. Their albums (not just the known singles) were very strong. Always hated Spandau Ballet, though. Especially that True song. "Ha ha ha haa haaa whine whine, whine whine whine, whine whine" lol

nah...my best friends are all gers fans..but i am a celtic man...not hardcore though..all that bigot stuff really annoys me...anyway your a long way from home in japan ?...music wise ...i agree that most reggae is utter crap but you cant put bob marley in there...the beatles...dont mind people saying they are overrated but you could never call them crap...the way their music developed from two chord boyband stuff in 1962 to a ground breaking pop music in the late 60's is amazing and has never really been repeated...

I like their 1989 debut, but yeah, that album is overrated as hell and I JUST CAN'T find the madchester-electronic influence; it's just a post-jangle british rock album in my ears shrug

I don't have a strong opinion about them, a uni mate used to fawn over their music w/religious zeal, but their debut definitely sounds of the late 80s: shoegaze-esque psychedelic/jangly guitars, the rhythm section w/dance template at a time of acid-house and burgeoning rave culture amongst the working class.........I can definitely see why they captured the pop zeitgeist, lovely melodies and bad attitude.

I AM GOING TO SAY NOW, I am not trying to be a dick here, i realize people including myself listen to a vast array of music and if your fans of these artist's nothing personal just my opinion

REO Speedwagon!- my most hated band, i am sorry if you are a fan i hate these guys music and the lead singers whiny vocals.

Kesha- Nothing more IMO need's to be said auto tuned vocals every song...ew

Limp Biscuit- Thank GOD rap metal died

Flo, Rida, T-Pain, Lil Wayne, Hurricane Chris, Soulja Boy, Lil John and that whole crew

Nickleback- they try WAY to hard, especially on there song's where the try to sound deep

Ru Paul- They play his song's in Hollywood believe it or not.... TORTURE eek

Britney Spears- Her nasally voice and stupid song's, i can't deal with

Pistols sounded like "Fuck off," wheras The Clash sounded like "Fuck Off, but here's why.."- Thedigitialgardener

All music is shit music and no music is real- gunsnhalen

The Stone Roses were a magnificent group. Such beautiful melodies and basslines. Not forgetting Squire's amazing solos. They deserve all the credit they get in my opinion. Even "Second Coming" which was panned by the critics is full of great songs. The only band from that time(early 90's) i would say bettered The Roses was "The Jesus and Mary Chain"....A band that doesn't get enough credit is "Primal Scream", Phenomenal live. Incidentally they are both from Scotland.
