One of the surprises of their debut album....a cool, slick New Wave-styled jam music

I can't believe that this song bombed as a single confused It peaked at #84 on the R&B charts and only reached #106 on the pop charts.I guess R&B radio thought it was too pop-sounding to play? The pop stations ignored it altogether.

The lead singer on this song is Cheri, who left the group in early 1984.Interestingly,she auditioned to be in Shalamar,to replace Jody Watley, but another lady was chosen instead.

It's OK but I prefer "Boys" and "Candy Man" much more.

Even though I already had the 45, I had to get the "Best Of" CD years later for that long version. lol

Well it was the 4th single from the album which had already run it's course and the 3rd single

All Night Long was so successful. Usually when albums have a successful 3rd single record

companies try to squeeze a 4th single out the way MCA Constellation did with Klymaxx Lock

And Key following up I Miss You. Fourth singles rarely do well.
