VIBE magazine: Erykah Badu "Full Clip" feature

http://www.vibe.com/photo-galleries/full-clip-erykah-badu-runs-down-her-entire-catalogue

This is really fun stuff - they got Erykah to chat about her releases/evolution and she gets really candid. I particularly enjoyed the part about how the Jill Scott version of "You Got Me" ended up on that hits CD and their reaction.

Nice read - thanks for posting!

It's interesting: to me, she often comes across as quite vulnerable or hard on herself in her songs, but in person she seems quite cocky (in a good way), and not at all shy about talking-up her work. I enjoyed the story about working with Curtis Mayfield, and having to shape up, nonetheless. lol

Harlepolis

I was sad by the time the article ended with her last album lol I enjoyed this so much, I wish she talked more about her songs/collaborations, and even music she likes by other artists.

The Curtis incident cracked me up, god bless him, he was the epitome of a perfectionist, if he wasn't pleased with Aretha "One Take Only" Franklin doing "Sparkle" HER way,,,,,,ARETHA, people! lol So you know Erykah got out of that studio emotionally & physically drained.

I made it easier for some to read the article. Now, all you have to do is click on it, instead of copy/paste.
