David Lee Roth ~ Yankee Rose

You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton

I love Billy Sheehan and Steve Vai! The "Twin Towers". Without Van Halen, this is the only other way I'd care to see David Lee Roth.

"DLR Band" is the Van Halen comeback they should've made but didn't. Dave went the independent label route, and even though it didn't sell a lot of copies, it made more money than Van Halen III did.

It's also been written that Dave dated Apollonia, but Prince made her break up with him if she was going to work on "Purple Rain". Which prob. didn't really help considering VH and Prince were on the same label, but Diamond Dave prob. made it up by having 10 strippers in his room the next night consoling him.

Perhaps that is why Vanity and Mayte started dating Motley Crue members after leaving Prince. razz

I just hope the new album is better than the DLR VH track that was on the Greatest Hits a while back.

Yeah, if you gotta leave Van Halen, I can't think of a better crew to fall into. That whole "Eat Em And Smile" album was top notch.

Its a shame to say this but there's more talent on the stage in that video than there is in the whole damn music business today.

Promotion has replaced talent. Excuse me. Did I say promotion? I meant "hype"...or "swagger" rolleyes

Vanity got herself into a full on trainwreck with Nikki.

My theory on the DLR reunion tracks "Me Wise Magic" was an unfinished Hagar song, the key that it's in is more Van Hagar than classic. But "Can't Get This Stuff No More" sounds like classic VH.

Dave always had a knack for picking great musicians to be in his band, but they never stayed for long.

These Prince chicks falling in with rowdy metal guys - that is just too weird.

I can't imagine which side of the fence would be more annoying back in '82, '84. Prince, or freakin David Lee Roth?

Yankee Rose is my favourite hair-metal song of all time! cool cool cool

Serioulsy, this track kick ass, fuckin' epic, and you gotta love the hilarous intro!

Eat 'Em and Smile as a whole was an stellar album, the best rock album of 1986, way better than Slippery When Wet...

I wonder if Wolfgang officially part of the group.
