That's the one that caught my ear too. I like the second track and about one or two more. There's too much mellow and midtempo stuff on the album though.

Yeah, the album doesn't seem to be as "uptempo" as previous albums. But it sounds good!

There seems to be some confusion about the tracklist. The song "Not The Funk I Want" is a bonus track on the Japanese version, but at least one other retailer has it listed as a track on the Deluxe Edition confuse

As of right now,it doesn't appear that there will be a US release. You'll have to order an import copy.I ordered the Deluxe Edition from the AmazonUK site. With priority shipping,it cost me around $40.You can save money and order it from the US Amazon site, but you won't receive it until around November 9th.

Their last studio album 'Dynamite' wasn't released in the US until months after it appeared elsewhere,so it's likely a US release has simply been delayed again.

Yea I figured as much. Does the deluxe edition come with a "making of/in the studio" type dvd? I thought I read that somewhere. Or is it just the 2-cd thing?

Not sure about a DVD but if there is one,it would most likely contain the same footage featured here:

what's interesting about the footage posted above is...it shows Jay and the band recording a song called "Super Highway" which was left off the album.

Two standout songs for me in the first listening, "shes a fast persuader" and "two completely different things".

Not as good as the last album dynamite I think, which I loved..with "seven sunny days in june" as my favorite.

Soul, you are good. 40 bones...what???? I love Jamiroquai, but unless they have gold & diamonds shooting out of their arse or it comes w/ a DVD, I'll wait for them to reach the US for a reasonable price. smile. the only cd I paid $40 + for was Randy & the Gypsies on Ebay in 1999 and that was it for me with paying over 20 bones for any cd.

Thank Soul, but I have OD'ed on 3 of the new songs already on youtube. I'm not listening anymore until I have the cd in my hands. I've almost broken my tradition. I have 6 cds, and with the exception of "Traveling Without Moving" which I listen to at a listening station at HMV before buying.....most of my Jamiroquai cds have been blind purchases....and I've always been happy. It's like Christmas I don't wanna open all the packages before the big day wink

This album is AMAZING!! You can tell that it was recorded live in the studio without alot of "embellishments".Jay was right, they went back to an organic sound.....very similiar to 'Traveling Without Moving'.Several songs have long instrumental jams at the end and many other surprises, such as the reggae-styled second verse of "Hey Floyd".I look forward to hearing these songs in a live setting.

Jamiroquai is back,y'all lol

"Two Completely Different Thing" reminds me of 'Talking Book'-era Stevie Wonder music One of their greatest songs!

Looking forward to this album, Jamiroquai is one of the few acts from the acid jazz era still doing it.
