What's this photo about? Is he going as a priest for Halloween?
Boy George Charity Tantrum - Woman in TearsBy Sophie Eager
Oct 28, 2010
Former Culture Club star Boy George left a woman in tears when he poured a drink over her during a charity concert. The 49-year-old singer was performing a gig at the Embassy club in Mayfair in London to benefit The Meningitis Trust. When a woman started talking over him during his act he reportedly got up and said: "Why don't you shut the f*** up, you rude ****!" ***
He then allegedly poured his drink all over her from the stage. An onlooker said to UK newspaper The Sun: "He wasn't playing his hits and people were losing interest. It was a shocking lapse of judgment because people had paid to support the Trust."

I hope he keeps it up so he could end up meeting his match.

Wait, a person was interrupting his performance and he was the rude one? Please!!! Space for sale...

Yes, the person talking was rude. But what about the other people that paid to be there and the charity? Cussing someone out and throwing a drink at them is not the right professional way to handle one person talking. The way to handle rudeness is never to be even more rude. Have some dignity and class. He should just ignore the one person and go on with his performance. It wasn't like they were screaming and yelling and heckling him, they were just quietly chatting. Don't think just because you go to a show you have to be completely silent throughout the whole show.
George has been acting weird in Twitter. This is another sign to me he's probably back on drugs. Just wait and he will probably be arrested again. There go that Culture Club reunion.

"But look at him, he looks like 80, a graybeard at 49"
I was thinkin he was looking good, particularly for him of late. In his autobiography he talked about being chased by "coppers" when he was younger. I always thought it would be great fun to run from the coppers with him.

Shoot, why is gray hair a sign of age? Look at Will Smith, he's now naturally gray. Age happens.
Why the hell am I defending Boy George? LMAO Space for sale...

Somewhere between drug binges, conflict with Culture Club, and changing musical tastes, George lost his way.

Outside of Culture Club's success, Boy George was such an underrated, underutilized talent. I really hopes he sloughs off some of the negative drama that's been following him and starts churning out good work again. Ὅσον ζῇς φαίνου

How is he underrated? Even after Culture Club, his music has been praised by critics. Even though his records flopped, he was given many chances to make recordings and do tours. Actually I think he's very overrated and has been given far more chances to do things career wise than most people from 80's bands that broke up. I think actually people go to easy on him and quick to forgive and give him another chance. He keeps messing up because he thinks people will forgive him and there will be another chance like there has been in the past. His voice really isn't all that. He has never had a huge range. He doesn't play any instruments and the only way he can write a song is with the help of other people. He has said many times he finds the studio boring and pays very little attention there. His only real talent is a few bitchy clever one liners as seen in his lyrics. He's had critical success and the ability to keep working, but that's not enough for his huge ego. He can't get over the fact he's not as successful as he was during CC. Well, few artists sell the same number of records they did in the 80's but they keep on working and don't continually screw up. He is just a spoiled brat with no discipline and way more ego than talent.

Wow. Tell us how you really feel!
I say he's underrated (or perhaps more accurately unsung) despite critical attention because "the masses" largely aren't aware of a very worthy post-Culture Club repertoire. Honestly, I couldn't care less about his own moderate vocal range or lack of writing ability, instrumental prowess or studio work ethic. I'm certain we could cite the same about any number of far more successful -- and respected -- solo acts. That all, to me, really matters only in comparison with other more comprehensively talented artists. In his own right, he's very charismatic and what music he did turn out -- indeed, with a savvy for tapping good hired hands -- was solid, enjoyable stuff for what talent set he does wield. And had his work seen a more penetrating exposure, I think lots of people would've dug it.
I will agree, however, that he is a spoiled brat and has pretty much squandered his own career. He's certainly no one's victim. [Edited 10/29/10 14:10pm] Ὅσον ζῇς φαίνου
