New Wave influence on non New Wave Artists

Did you like when some of your favorite artists experimented

with the then current New Wave sound?

New Wave influence on Prince,Chic,Cameo...many others ,

even Vilage People had a New Wave sounding album.

I like those experiments because it brought us some of the edgiest,rawest music ever

made by those artists.

I'm a big believer in the old saying "if it an't broke don't fix it". But I respect any artist who dare step out of their comfort zone. Here's a few that come to mind:
