So what does that make Adam? The original Larry Flint?

As you wish but to me, there's no difference between the two of them and a common pimp. They all made/make their fortunes peddling pussy! shrug

I was about to say nod

La Baker was the originator of the glam rock persona. She was more than a handful, waaay too flamboyant, and way way waaay more spontaneous for the tight ship driven Ziegfeld Follies revue,,,,,Fanny Brice who could have a whole audience eating from the palm of her hands knew it was a lost battle beforehand when Josie joined them in the late 30s, hence why the drama erupted later.

I always have to laugh at the irony when I see Beyonce flashing some flesh....

(I did hate that song, though!)

Or "Independent Woman" lol

She's completely the counter-image/reality of independence.

I remembered when radio stations would censor that song because it was too raunchy and controversial.

Ha! Fortunately, she's not a lass who's given to lengthy periods of thoughtful reflection, or the heap of contradictions could become rather troubling. wink

One of our local R&B stations would play the song, but they edited out the most explicit line....

that's right I can't control it....tonight I can no longer hold it

When I finally bought the album, the reference to "7 inches or more" took me by surprise lol
