It's Halloween Season! Who Here Love's Alice Cooper & Rob Zombie?

I am personally a big fan of these two, especially around this time of year!

Now Alice Cooper is actually quite a great musician, especially back in the day and had many great albums.

Billion Dollar Babies

Killer

Welcome To My Nightmare

School's Out

Love It To Death

He did get a little to hair metalish in the 80's especially with Trash & Raise Your Fist & Yell but i still dig the albums.

As for Rob, i will probably always love White Zombie more from there 80's early work to mid 90's heyday. The groove metal of there song's where great, a smart mixture of bass, guitar & insane lyrics. But his solo stuff is good to, his last album Hellbilly Deluxe 2 is actually his best solo album by far IMO

So who else are fan' of the great shock rocker's cool

Pistols sounded like "Fuck off," wheras The Clash sounded like "Fuck Off, but here's why.."- Thedigitialgardener

I dug Alice's 1970s works. Rob had some jams in the '90s. "Living Dead Girl" and "More Human than Human" are my favorites from Rob.

Those are some good one's, but it's way worth it to check out White Zombies other stuff, they where actually some great musicians, And his solo stuff get's better and better

As for Alice his best output was in the 70's i love his 80's work for the camp value, but i loved when he wrote real serious song's and when he was so ''controversial''

Well... not really a fan of Zombie (I'm not quite sure if I can forvive him what he's done to Halloween... even though I like some parts of it wink ), but I'm definitely a fan of Alice Cooper... ever since I first heard Poison and the Trash album!

I will see him today in 2 weeks for the 10th time. I pretty much like all of his albums.... well, except Flush the fashion, Special Forces, DADA and Zipper catches skin... some rough times there... my favourites though are Welcome to my nightmare, Billion dollar babies and From the inside... but I also love his 80ies metal output... he always managed to make great songs!

I saw him in 05 when i was s freshman in high school and it was only my 3rd concert man what fun wink

I agree on all the albums that you like btw biggrin, he had a tight band back in the day, i mean he has always had great musicians but back in the 70s was his greatest.

I Also love Killer & love it to death. DaDa, Zipper & Muscle of love all those where kind....of blah but Coop doesn't even remember making them to do intense alcohol abuse

I saw him in '00 the first time (didn't manage to see him the 3 times he toured over here before... due to being too young and/or being occupied with the tour of the guy to the left here) and it was my 98th concert... the next one will be my 261st concert! wink

It's no wonder that Cooper claims to not remember those albums... I would too! wink Raise your fist and yell was a great comeback though... I really like that metal phase of his!

Well Raise your fist had some jams like Freedom & Lock Me Up biggrin

Constrictor... not a big fan of that album, only really care for Teenage Frankenstein, Thrill my gorilla lol & The man behind the mask lol

Trash despite some of the cheesy lyrics is a pure fun album, Spark In The Dark, house of fire, only my heart talking, poison, bed of nails all good jam's=]

Oh man, you're forgetting "Prince of darkness"... one of my favourite Cooper tracks ever! And "Gail" and "Roses on white lace".... RYFAY is one solid album!

And on Constrictor, despite it's cheesiness, or better because of it's cheesiness, I really love "He's back (the man behind the mask). Also "Live and death of the party" and "The world needs guts" are cool songs.... but yeah, Fist is the slightly better album!

Yeah... Trash is a classic and the one that made me a fan... "House of fire"... I love that song and "Hell is living without you"... and "Only my heart talking"... from the mid 80ies on he really had a great run.... also "Hey stoopid"... one solid album... "Wind up toy" is a great jam which has a connection to "Welcome to my nightmare"... there are just so many great Cooper songs... too bad he always plays the same songs...

OMG Roses on white lace ok forgot that one, & Prince of darkness also for John Carpenters flick of the same name, where he has a cameo is pretty cool to.

Yes i also loved The Last Temptation & his recent Along came a spider.

Coop does have some GREAT tunes, he could branch out a little more in his live set i agree.

When i saw him live he did the usual Billion Dollar Babies, No More Mr.Nice Guy, I'm 18, School's Out, Poison, Only woman bleed etc.

But he did do some track's from Dirty Diamonds & he did Stephen! which is one of my favorite track's by him as well as Lost In America

I liked that "Prince of darkness" movie... and his cameo was indeed cool! He used to kill his camera guy on stage the same way!

At first I was a bit disappointed with "Along came a spider"... with that concept the music could have been a little more edgy... but I kidna like it now... the videos and promo videos he did for that album were pretty cool!

Yeah! "Steven" is another one of my all time favourite Cooper songs... I was happy when he added the one song and that whole "Welcome to my nightmare" section to his set a couple of years ago! On the current tour he's also playing "From the inside" and "Nurse Rozetta" again, which is greatly appreciated by me! But other than that he's way to narrow minded in his setlist choices! I would kill to get "Freedom", "Prince of darkness", "House of fire", "Trash" and "Hey stoopid" live again... he could certainly drop "Under my wheels", "Is it my body", "Be my lover" and "Lost in america"... I think he played those songs everytime I saw him... also "Feed my Frankenstein" is a song which he loves to play, but I can't hear it anymore... but I guess we have to take what we can get! wink
