Did anyone here even hear or dig any of the tracks he did with Timbaland?
I thought it was a cool experiment and I saw him perform live with Timba and it really wasnt all that bad! Chris Cornell vocals are some of the best! The greatest live performer of our times was is and always will be Prince.

^^ Ugh! That Cornell album with the Timbaland tracks is AWFUL! I mean, I'm glad you like it, but it's generally considered laughable. I'm not a fan of Audioslave, either. Ten years of wasting time, imo. Cornell's first solo album is pretty good, though.
Love Soundgarden, though! Near worshiped in the 90's. On my MP3 player (which I never use ) and my external HD I've got a folder with my favorite tracks. Still listen to them pretty regularly. So you can imagine I'm happy they're back PERFORMING, but I'll be happier if they release a new album (not the strange compilation they're releasing now). Here's my favorites, I'll spare you posting 48 videos.
4th of July, Applebite, Big Dumb Sex, Birth Ritual, Black Hole Sun, Blind Dogs, Blow Up The Outside World, Boot Camp, Burden In My Hand, Cold Bitch, Come Together, Dusty, Fell On Black Days, Fresh Deadly Roses, Get On The Snake, Girl U Want, Gun, Hands All Over, Head Down, Head Injury, Holy Water, Hunted Down, I Awake, Incessant Mace, Into The Void (Stealth), Jesus Christ Pose, Let Me Down, Like Suicide, Limo Wreck, Loud Love, Mailman, Mind Riot, Never The Machine Forever, New Damage, Nothing To Say, Outshined, Overfloater, Pretty Noose, Rhinosaur, Room A Thousand Years Wide, Rusty Cage, Searching With My Good Eye Closed, Slaves & Bulldozers, Spoonman, The Day I Tried To Live, Tighter & Tighter, Toy Box, Zero Chance
Very few bands (if any) where I have almost fifty favorite tracks.
4th Of July
Bootcamp
Jesus Christ Pose
Room A Thousand Years Wide - probably my favorite ever Soundgarden song, even though I never listen to the freakout end part.

Former singer Chris Cornell made the long-hoped-for announcement on New Year's Eve via Twitter.
"The 12-year break is over and school is back in session," Cornell wrote. "Sign up now. Knights of the Soundtable ride again!"

They did a warm-up gig in Chicago and then played Lollapalooza this year. Both shows are on YouTube. Cornell has lost a bit of the high end, and Kim was a little sloppy, but otherwise they sound pretty much exactly the same.

Whoa, a Soundgarden thread! Adore BMF and and most of Superunknown, but I find all their other albums patchy. I bought Down On The Upside the day of its release and was hugely disappointed; saw them play an intimate venue soon after and they seemed like a band on the verge of break-up, if in fact they seemed like a band at all, and not 5 strangers collected from the local methadone dispensary.
Remember Outshined from True Romance?
This is from the BMF sessions, it kicks some serious arse and imo shoulda been on the record in place of Good Eye Closed, or whatever that w/the animal sounds intro is called.
My favourite from Cornell, it's solo and not Soundgarden. Also from Singles.

Seasons The Singles soundtrack is such a great album, too, because a lot of the bands/artists have left those (mostly exclusive) songs there.

Yeah, it's as great a representation of the music of that era as it could possibly be. The Smashing Pumpkins' track must be a contender for their greatest song.
I forgot about Temple of the Dog, what an album!
