George Clinton: Live in Paris

Caught George Clinton in Paris at the tail-end of summer, y'all. It was funky, no doubt, but kinda not pretty. I wrote it all up here:

Is it common knowledge that P-Funk don't stank like they used to, and I missed the memo?

Yeah..I feel you, man. After reading your review, checkin the vid....along with many commentaries here at the Org & my own jaunts to see 'em in recent years.....I think it's clear, GC is doin these tours to keep the band paid & revenue comin in.

I dunno if it's fair for us to expect them to stay in top form, though. Death, drugs, age....it's gonna catch up to any band, let alone one of this size.

I'm happy at this point to have so many memories of shows gone by & being lucky enough to HAVE seen 'em at their peak.

I'll always have love for The Mob...but I'm with ya....it is starting to look & sound a bit sad.

And is it just me....or does anyone else find it difficult to see them...or even THINK of them on stage without Garry in the line-up?
