I'm djing a Halloween party and I have the obvious already..."Thriller" "Monster Mash" "Somebody's Watching Me"...but I'd like to be more clever with stuff like "I'm your Boogie Man" "Trick Bag" "Something In My House"....anyone with some clever ideas? Thanks!

Some classic hip-hop Halloween tunes would be:

"The Haunted House of Rock" by Whodini

"Nightmares" by Dana Dane

"Nightmare on My Street" by Jazzy Jeff and the Fresh Prince

"Are You Ready for Freddy?" by The Fat Boys

Don't forget Hammers "Adams Groove", predating Will Smiths pop rap by about 5 years.

Although not really a Halloween song, if I remember correctly (because I haven't heard it in a long time, lol), there's a verse in The Adventures Of Super Rhymes by Jimmy Spicer that talks about him meeting Dracula. The theme music from the 1960's Star Trek TV show sounds kinda spooky to me. Then there's The Addams Family & The Munsters themes.

I just thought about this song, it might apply. But it's not a fun song though.

You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton
