My vote goes to Janet, since it's her version that I played the most during the 1990's.

In fairness, Randy's original version was a potential hit (at least on the r&b/soul charts) that should had been released as the 4th single from The Jacksons' Victory album.

Wow I never knew that there was a version out by Janet.. confused

One more chance one of my favorites from Victory (the other ones would be Wait & Body).. biggrin

But I don't like her version anyway so I didn't miss anything razz

Janet's version was release as a b-side to If back in 1993.

come on! why so shocked? xD

I love that's the way love goes, but then that's it..

Never liked the Velvet Rope album.. then All For You

had it's tracks with the title track which samples The

Glow Of Love by Change & Luther, and the other one

called Son Of A Gun.. and then Damita Jo had that All

Nite Don't Stop.. what came after that is, imo, not worth

mentioning at all..

Neither.

The song is way too coma-friendly for my taste.

Yep, he's a wrestler, and don't be sorry...my bubble's still in tact. A lot of it is theatrics, but believe me, they do get hurt, and whether it's the back, neck or knees, they're always getting surgery on something. And those tables and ladders are quite real.

Thgis song always stood out to me on the Victory album, because of the obvious. Randy delivers a beautiful, soul baring, sincere cry to be given another chance. I usually end up in tears by the end of the song. I've always thought it was beautiful, and something I could relate to with my divorce and previous separations.

I didn't even know Janet covered it until this thread!!!

And now that I do... Meh.

Randy, all the way.

Yes! Statements like those should qualify certain folk for handicapped parking.
