I tuned in and watched it. It wasn't too bad to me. I was rolling when AJ (Sharane off of "House Party" and the mama off of "Baby Boy") barged into their house ready to give them a fitness lesson and they didn't know who she was...well K-Ci said she looked familiar but couldn't place her...Jo-Jo immediately said "oh she was on Baby Boy"!!! I like the part when K-Ci had to sing while doing his exercises, his voice sounds really strong. Don't know how Jo-Jo is sounding these days but he seems a bit on the lazy side to me. When they went to go meet that record exec whose now a Vice President (I forget his name) it was interesting how they were keeping their cool but were extremely offended by the things he had to say. No doubt that I believe that the exec was "partying" with them in the past, but they still should know that the company you keep that obviously is contributing to bringing you down is your own fault. Nontheless, I'm glad they were strong enough to turn down the guy's offer of having a drink when they first arrived. It almost seemed like the guy did that on purpose. I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

What did he say that offended them?
What are these two addicted to?? "Keep in mind that I'm an artist...and I'm sensitive about my shit."--E. Badu

Alcohol. | |

Interesting show. I'm just amazed that artist after artist allow themselves 2 destroy their own careers over BAD choices like drugs and alcohol. There is enough history and examples out here 2 avoid such pitfalls.

True, but at least it appears that they are finally fed up with their destructive lifestyle and eager to make a sincere change in their lives before they kill themselves. I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

Basically the meeting between them, their manager and the record exec was to talk about the current state of the music industry and how they would fit in the current industry if they plan to be successful again. The record exec was honest with them, comparing the industry from now with how the industry was when they was on top...he also said that the only way he felt they would be successful is if they entered the market in the adult comptempory category, then proceeded to say that Interscope (the record exec's employer..well actually he's VP now) unfortunately didn't have a place for them because they don't have an adult contemporary market at the moment. It was like he just automatically volunteered this information when they weren't even asking him for a hand out or to see if they had a chance at Interscope, so they were a little offended by that. That and the whole time the guy was talking he was stuffing his face with whatever mess he was eating on his plate. He reminded me of the guy who played a big time record exec in the movie "Brown Sugar" trying to promote the Dalmation Twins as a rap group singing "The Bitch is Mine"...a remake of MJ's and Paul McCartney's "The Girl is Mine".
Anyway, K-Ci was offended when the guy said "No more droppin the pants in concerts" And it wasn't what he said per say, it was how he said it. But...that's the industry. Business not personal, which I couldn't see why they haven't quite grasped that concept yet. I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

I hope that they mean it. Personally, folks that destroy themselves like this get no pity from me. It is inexcusable 2 do this 2 yourself. It is like folks that smoke who are shocked when the doctor tells them they have lung cancer.

True again, but the damage is done at this point. To me, I have no respect for folks who have a chance to turn their lives around and ignore them and just give up or as in your example, have the chance to beat their cancer if caught in time yet continue to smoke and say "well you gonna die from something anyway" Everyone deserves a 2nd chance to turn their life around after they have been on the wrong path. I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

Deserves a chance? No question they do.......... Pity from me, NO chance.

He's a junkie isn't he?? I could've sworn that I saw him as being in one of the future episodes, on the real, if K-Ci & Jo-Jo seriously want to kick their addiction to alcohol, Devante is probably the last person they should be around. Besides, has it been confirmed that Devante is actually a junkie? I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

dunno...but he has junkie ways

They don't even look like they're on crack. It's pretty obvious that it's alcohol they're addicted to if you watched the show. Hell, even the commercials "For those who know the number and don't call...Fuck all y'all"

Yeah after I saw what was really going on, I disputed that crack theory. Their last few performances were very alcohol-intoxicating.

Well overall I thought the show was decent..and not just because I was a die hard Jodeci fan in my middle/high school days and not just because I was a K-Ci & Jo-Jo fan either. I was hoping that the show wasn't going to be somewhere along the lines of Keysha Cole's and Fantasia's reality shows and it isn't. K-Ci and Jo-Jo's show doesn't possess any kind of buffoonery that I can see and it really looks like they are sincere about changing their lives around. I just wish that Jo-Jo would fix his grill though. I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.
