Which CD Titles Continue To Allude You?

One good thing that has come out of this not so good economy is that people aren't as willing to pay some of the outragous prices for out of print CDs on ebay and amazon. Therefore, this year afforded me the opportunity to snag several CDs that have been alluding me for years because of the price. Here are a few titles that were going for $80+ (some were in the triple digits) last year that I managed to purchase this year for under $40:

Krush Groove Soundtrack (Japanese Import)

Just the Way You Like It - The SOS Band

Yours Forever - Atlantic Starr

Don't Look Any Further - Dennis Edwards

Moonshadow - Labelle

Labelle - Labelle

I can now say that I own every CD I've ever wanted!!!biggrin

Are there any out of print CD titles that are missing from your collection because of the price?

Harlepolis

Gwen Guthrie's Larry Levan Remix album. Saw it somewhere and to say the price was ridiculous is a huge understatement.

You can get a used copy of that on amazon for around $22. It was reissued in 2008 by Vinyl Masterpieces but the original issue came from Japan in 2003. It doesn't matter which one you get, both are vinyl transfers (I have the Japan version). I believe the 2008 reissue comes with a few bonus tracks.

Bustin Out on L Seven by Rick James. I have it digitally, and the vinyl is easy to come by, but the official CD is way overpriced.

Yeah, I meant the LP. Saw the original pressing in mint condition in Canada(which is usually where most of the good shit is) and the damn thing COSTS.

I'm still peeved that I didn't buy it now, because I know by now it probably costs more.

Syreeta - Stevie Wonder Presents Syreeta: Had this on both MP3 and the 2004 Hip-O Select 2 for 1 reissue CD, but I really wanted the original oop version on CD from 1994. It cost me $74 dollars from eBay. Outrageous price and all, but it has better sound than Hip-O's out of print reissue.

Eddie Kendricks - The Thin Man: The Solo Albums, Vol. 2: That one is out of print too, but I was lucky to find it for $49 bucks, which is ridiculous but worth all the money.

The O'Jays - Ship Ahoy (SACD): Yep, got this one for $6 bucks and the sound is....in one word: AMAZING! That one is out of print too.

I own that one, too. Never really listened to it, though. Someone is asking $362 dollars for a copy on amazon. It's way cheaper on ebay but still over-priced. You never know, that one may be reissued soon.
