Good news: Sade is coming to Toronto on June 28, 2011!

Bad news: The cheapest tickets are $110... before fees and taxes!!! The most expensive tickets (2nd row, floor) are $1672.

Now, granted, the acts I'm generally interested in are small venue. This is the first arena show I've been interested in since... I don't even recall. But is this NORMAL!?! Am I just out of the loop?!?!

Cheapest arena seats at Madison Square Garden here in NYC are almost always under $100 if you don't mind sitting in the nosebleed section near the ceiling (I sat there twice for Madonna and paid around $60 each face value before fees). I saw Shakira at MSG last month and there were $10 seats behind the stage I think.

Your complaint is justified if there are no such options for your show.

No, ticket prices have been going through the roof everywhere for a while now. Prince tickets are between 120 and 170 euros for his European shows. That´s about 170 - 250 US dollars.

There is absolutely NO ONE on this planet that I would pay a thousand dollars to go see in concert. I wouldn't care if my seat were ON the stage, lol. But $110 sounds about right for these days. Though usually I pay about $30-$60 to see my favorite acts at BB Kings here in NYC.

$110?! I'm trying to get Sade's ticket concerts too. I registered for the pre-sale on Facebook, but the only seats I can get are ones that are in backrow section and it's for $200. I hestitated before I entered my credit card info.
