That's back when Cameo was bad. That's a hot one there.

Aligator Woman is a good album, but I'll take "Knights Of The Sound Table" over it

John Blackwell who toured with Cameo for 3 years before he joined Prince's band, played this on the drums at his 2008 clinic. So was this was the beginning of their electro funk phase with the synths.? lol And wasn't this album the last time we'd hear the og horn section? Not sayin they didnt use horns later on (Single Life, Word Up) I'm talkin og members not session players

Pretty much, yes....and the band was actually proud of this fact (the "synth based")

From the liner notes of their next one, 1983's "Style" (now with only 4 members):

"There are no conventional drums used on this album, all drums are electronic. The new age sound. Thank God. Cameo's music is 21st Century Bebop."

OOOWWWW! A bona fide 80's funk classic.

I wish Cameo would come back with some new tracks, but I can't help wondering if they have any unreleased tracks from the 70's & 80's kicking about in the vaults of some studio somewhere.

That would be great to hear if they did. (wishful thinking probably)
