interesting because my wife and I were just talking about them last weekend. we were both of the mind they could still work - left eye. not trying to speak ill of the dead but she didn't add much of anything to those records.
no, she was just the lead vocalist on their first hit song, and first album that made them stars
T-Boz led vocally. Left Eye rapped. Chilli was the background mainly. |

In fact T-Boz led on most of TLC's songs anyway. Left Eye's involvement in the first album was that she wrote most of the songs and she was responsible for the group's image. Like I said, without her, there is no TLC. |

To me, Chilli is the disposable one. |

which was their worse hit by far imo.... never cared for her voice on any of the songs. ... if you liked it cool. But I know a lot of people that would like to hear Chillie and T-Boz together again. |

Okay, call me stupid but I never was into TLC but could Left Eye actually sing or was she the rapper in the group? Before her death, I always took her as the disposable member in the group.
Again, I never followed their career beyond being in situations where I couldn't change the channel when their song/video came on or seeing them in various media outlets. So enlighten me, what was her role in the group?
Rapper/hype woman kinda like Flavor Flav was to PE She was essential to the group though-she played her role well. It all fell apart for her after she burned down Andre Rison's home truly sad. |

My fav member is Chili. T-Boz and Left Eye were tied. However, they were all essential to TLC and without one, the group just doesn't exist IMO. |

They may just decide not to do it. Usually when someone makes decisions, it usually don't go to plan. Left Eye left with her a void in the group. The group is kinda like one person on the far left, another person on the far right and no one in the middle (Left Eye obviously being the middle of the two extremes...).

I could take the group or leave them. I could tolerate being in the same room with their songs but I would never go out and buy any of them. But decent songs like "Waterfalls" were ruined by her rapping. Andy is a four letter word. |

It enhanced it to me. You'd probably like the radio version R&B stations played that didn't feature her rap. I know this station I used to listen would play the single without Left Eye's rap. "No Scrubs" didn't originally feature Left-Eye, she added her rap for the video. |
