White Knuckle Ride promo video

The promo video for White Knuckle Ride can be watched now online at the Heineken.nl website .

The video was shot in Almeria (Spain) in August of this year and is directed by Howard Greenhalgh and if you like helicopters and fast cars then this is for you. If you don't like helicopters and fast cars then you're probably not going to like the video!

Remember, as far as I know this is more of a promotional track (with a limited edition vinyl release coming out) than a full blown single and that the 'real' first single from Rock Dust Light Star (at least in the UK) will be Blue Skies on 1 November.

If you're after a direct link to the Flash video file then here you go .

What do you think of the video?

That photo was taken when Jamiroquai supported Stevie Wonder @ Hyde Park in London this year. Jay was obviously on a natural high as Stevie is his idol. He asked the crowd 2 wave & cheer, had the pic taken & told everyone that that was going 2 be his new album cover!

I`m very much looking forward 2 this cd as it`s been 2 long!!

Wow. The intent for the album cover is cool but I must say not one of my faves. It would be good if this were a live album I guess. But doesn't really matter. It's about the music. And everything I've heard I really like! Can't wait. smile

Fantasy is reality in the world today. But I'll keep hangin in there, that is the only way.

I really used to love these guys... Their first 4 albums are truly great and I saw them live TWICE in '97 with Stuart Zender on bass and Toby Smith on keys and their old guitar player too (can't remember his name now).... BUT....I really think they have lost their mojo...

Case in point, I like this video much more the FIRST time they did it, back when it was called "Cosmic Girl"... razz

<br>

I hope the new album has some great tracks but so far I'm not diggin' either of the first two songs at all.... neutral

Edit: Almost forgot... That album cover is really bad.... Geesh... What is Jay Kay thinking????

Haha SoulAlive - I thought the same thing - "Haven't I seen this video clip before?" lol. I don't mind it though, I like the simplicity. It seems to suit "Blue Skies" better - lonely song, lone journey through the country-side vibe. For "White Knuckle Ride" it just seems a bit of a jerk-off: "look I'm a rich mofo who can afford a helicopter". Very Richard Branson lol.

Still looking forward to the album however.

Both of these videos are pointless lol Jay Kay riding his motorcyle on a lonely road...Jay Kay riding his helicopter...it's like, what's the point? I guess they figured since the so-called "video channels" don't show videos anymore, why bother putting alot of time, effort and money into making them? These videos are very unimaginative.Thankfully, the songs are good.

Does anyone know a good place to preorder the new album that ships to the US and doesn't have that high ass import price?

Great music so far, but I agree, not crazy about both videos or the cover art either. He looks like he just rolled out of bed, lol. The White Knuckle Ride "montage" video clip was way better than both videos. I thought this was going to be the new video.

Outside of the Virtual Insanity video, I bought every Jamiroquai album without looking at a video or caring about the cover. I'll just continue with that tradition & wait for the new cd & US tour dates

the Seamus Haji Remix to White Knuckle Ride is so hot. I've been playing the hell out of it ever since it's leaked.

I hope artists keep recording dance remixes to everything they put out, just like back in the 90s.

"what's that book where they're all behind the wardrobe?"

Rock Dust Light Star 'Deluxe Version' track list and Jamiroquai Chopsticks!

In addition to the regular CD release of Rock Dust Light Star there will be a vinyl release and also a 'Deluxe Version' - which includes six additional tracks. The track list of this deluxe version (which is listed an import version - so I believe is therefore the UK deluxe edition release) is shown on the Tower Records website in Japan :

  1. Rock Dust Light Star
  2. White Knuckle Ride
  3. Smoke and Mirrors
  4. All Good In The Hood
  5. Hurtin'
  6. Blue Skies
  7. Lifeline
  8. She's A Fast Persuader
  9. Two Completely Different Things
  10. Goodbye To My Dancer
  11. Never Gonna Be Another
  12. Hey Floyd
  13. All Good In The Hood (Acoustic Version) (Extra Track)
  14. Angeline (Extra Track)
  15. Hang It Over (Extra Track)
  16. Rock Dust Light Star (Live at Paleo) (Extra Track)
  17. White Knuckle Ride (Alan Braxe Remix) (Extra Track)
  18. Blue Skies (Fred Falke Remix) (Extra Track)
The regular Japanese release of the album contains the regular 12 track album and another track 'That's Not The Funk I Want' as a bonus track. Tower Records have also announced that they will be giving away a limited number of 'Jamiroquai Chopsticks' to the first in-store buyers of the album!
