You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton

That girl's riffs are insane.
You can see why so many '90s R&B female singers kept emulating her...

Wow...this is crazy! I have been looking at this song on Utube for the past couple of Sunday's. The live performance is incredible! I love how each sister just passes the "vocal torch" to the next one and just serves the song in such a off the hook way!!! Aaron6ix

The band is also tight. One of the keyboardist performs an excellent solo.

Yeah but as leader of a big church choir. Mattie Moss Clark won some Grammys for her work with her choirs in Detroit. She released some solo material around the '80s or '90s featuring her singing. She sounded like Dorinda Clark sounds now. As far as gospel music is concerned, she's a legend. She died in '94 at 79. [Edited 10/9/10 11:18am]

The Clark Sisters are kinda like En Vogue in the regard they all complemented each other vocally so either one held their own. Apart, they're great, together, they're unstoppable.

Have yall ever heard the ORIGINAL version of Jesus Is A Love Song from 1986? Karens solo version was a great remake but from Twinkies piano playing to her classical musical arrangement coupled with her jazzy vocal arrangement, the original version of this song is without compare..FLAWLESS...
