Paulett & Tanya Winley

Paulett & Tanya are sisters and the daughters of Paul Winley, who started his label in the 1950's. Tanya also used the name "Sweet Tee", but is different person from the Sweet Tee that was on Profile Records in the late-1980's. Here's a couple of early rap classics.

1979

1980

You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton
