Cherrelle Anybody know if Cherrelle and Flyte Tyme are ever gonna get down with it again? I always loved her!...so virbrant and fun, yet so capable of delivering even the slow jams just azz effectively. She was on Monique recently and before she did her thing, she said she wuzz gonna do it "Flyte Tyme Style!" Knowing that Big Jim (Wright) is in Monique's house band, I wondered what the chances are of Miss Cheryl Week Norton gettin' with Jimmy and Terry again in the studio. That hasn't happened since 1988's awesome "Affair" album. Peace. Hungry? Just look in the mirror and get fed up. |

A Flyte Tyme boxset would be a must have "We may deify or demonize them but not ignore them. And we call them genius, because they are the people who change the world." |

My mom told me that Alexander O'Neal was on the Tom Joyner Morning Show a couple of weeks ago talking a lot of shit about Prince. Supposed to had been on there promoting his new album. Apparently he's talking the same shit..."Prince fired me from The Time because I was too black". I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince. |

There's already a 4CD Flyte Tyme Box Set called "Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis: The Hit Songs." It's on Amazon and I paid $102.00 for mine, but know it runs cheaper than that sometimes. Depends. Mine was used and in Very Good condition, but the discs did/do have surface wear which disappointed me for that price. Another downfall was that it could easily have been spread out of 6 discs and most of the shit on there is in either "edited" or "single versions." Some are even shorter than the "single" versions. It also highlights a very high amount of Janet Jackson's and New Edition's stuff and in the process, fails to include Rhonda Clark's BANGIN'-ASS "State of Attraction." For the price, you DO kinda get a LOT, but what you get is just a tad on the "letdown" side, if ya feel me. The booklet included isn't BAD, but it does, if I'm not mistaken, list chart positions. Go check it out and maybe even scoop one for yourself. I'd like to sell mine and try and find a copy of it NEW, but THEN, we're talkin' mo' money. Peace. Hungry? Just look in the mirror and get fed up. |
