OH SHIT Baby, I cannot mess with those Japanese remasters, they cost a grip.
Its a shame that I'm stuck with the busted quality version, and I can't work those remastering softwares worth a damn either.

His rhythm guitar in some of the ballads is a dead giveaway
Somebody(I think Shango) listed his side-projects discography in a thread, I can't remember for the life of me which one that was, I might need you to list 'em up for me again.
All I'm familiar with is Dick Smith, New Horizons and Ms.Shirley Murdock. Did I forgot anybody else?

i should've posted this link : eBay ... i looked too fast over the amazon prices which are indeed already too high ! i could recommend the ebay-prices though, because in a few years those Japanses copies might be much harder to find and more expensive

The selftitled-album (1984 / Bearsville Records) and the Cosmic Roundup-album (1985 / Elektra Records) by the Human Body, and the 70's album of Roger & The Human Body. Bobby Glover's album from 1984 on CBS is a fine piece of Zapp-soul. Roger's late son recorded an album around 1989 under the name of Lynch, and another son, Rufus, recorded his album "No Compromise" in the late 90's. Also worth to check is some tracks on Curtis Mayfield's 1996 album, on which brother Terry "Zapp" Troutman contributed. There also seems to exist a release by one of Roger's daughters. Yeah, i posted some slowjams in a recent Unsung-topic about them ... could'nt find it yet when checking the archives.
It sounds so tight how Roger mixed the background vocals in "Fire 85". He let's Shirley Murdock's vocals sparkle in that jam.
"I Choose You" is another strong cut imo, and with a Prince-ish talking intro lol :

You're a doll thank you for saving alot of time for me.
The "Roger & The Human Body" album needs to be treated with the deluxe remaster. That is one solid album, my fave is Hey Mama

You're welcome ... yeah, "Roger & The Human Body" is availble as a reissue on vinyl but i'm not shure how that quality is. The original gatefold was often sold for sky-rocketed prices ... somewhere around 800 to 900 $
I almost wanted to post another wild cut called "Girl, Cut It Out", from Roger's "Saga Continues" album (greatly reissued by Wounded Bird) On the album he duets the song with Wanda Rash, and the extended mix on single is with Shirley Murdock but although differently mixed and still tight ... somehow i'm less hip to the remix. There's imo just something more infectious in the album version lol. The remix is on youtube though.

I bought that album from Itunes. The guitar playing in Bucket Of Blood is ridiculous
