Strongest voice in En Vogue is a tough call, because each one of them had a strong voice and a distinctive style.
"Don't Go" is a fantastic song. Always loved it, always will. FWIW, it broke their string of consecutive #1 hits at 3 when it only reached #4. Their first 3 singles, "Hold On," "Lies," and "You Don't Have to Worry," all topped the charts. "Whitney was purely and simply one of a kind." ~ Clive Davis

Don't know about who had the strongest voice, but Dawn Robinson is FINE! That woman makes my gut do backflips. Mm.

All four women are strong vocally. That's why no other female vocal group could fuck with them back then.

Even though I love this song and have somewhat warmed up to En Vogue, I will also prefer my all time fave girl group, TLC "Lack of home training crosses all boundaries."

I will always have the greatest love for En Vogue
They were in a league of their own back in the day
this is the track that 1st got me buzzing about the girls, it was on Foster & McElroys album "FM2" & then later was a bonus cut on the En vogue cd
Life has a way of making you live it. . . .

Best girls group of the 90's period. My favorite cut off their debut album. Don't laugh at my funk
This funk is a serious joint

That was cool too. I also like the Natalie Cole remake Can't Stay Away. Don't laugh at my funk

They sang the hell out of that one! "Whitney was purely and simply one of a kind." ~ Clive Davis

Yup, but this song didnt even touch the hot 100 either....which it should have.
They weren't able to get four #1 R&B singles like how Tony Toni Tone did with the four singles from the Revival in 1990. They were close though.... Just like Johnny Gill with his four singles from his 1990 self titled album....("fairweather friend" hit #2 while the rest hit #1).
But I will say she Terry has the strongest voice... All of them could sing of course and each had their own distinct voice, but it was obvious Terry's was the srongest....No one in EV had the combination of a 5 octave range and power like Terry. She almost didnt make the group and it was supposed to be a trio when EV was put together but they put her in for one reason. Her voice.

^^coign both statements.
...as for the Terry having the best voice thing.... Performing this song live shows what im talking about.

Well Terry completed them so...

I wouldn't call strongest voice obvious by any stretch. Range doesn't equal strength. If pressed, I'd probably go with Dawn as having the strongest voice. "Whitney was purely and simply one of a kind." ~ Clive Davis

Point is all four complemented each other so it's too bold to say one member had the "strongest" vocal when all four of them can whoop vocal ass on any other group any fucking day.

of course range doesnt eqaul strength...you gotta look at power, tone, range, pitch etc....
but i think terry is the best all arond singer in EV...thats just me though....
they can all sing of course, and max is my fav member, but i would rank their voices: terry > dawn > cindy > max

I've always thought that at times, Maxine sounds like Stephanie Mills and Terry sounds like Debra Laws. You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton

Terry, Dawn, Cindy & Max > any girl group after the '70s lol

ain't that the truth!
and yes tlc fans, en vogue was better than tlc!

I always thought this too...
Terry and Debra... somewhat, now that I think about it.
