So I'm sitting here watching This Is It and I was curious about 2 things

1. It's clear that MJ was "lipsynching" the majority of the songs, but was the audio alternate vocal takes or edited versions of the originals?

2. Was ANYONE else annoyed with Travis? I felt like he was in EVERY shot MJ was in. Almost like a shadow

We can't assume that. Both have admitted that they fought non-stop. And like LMP said, she had some faults in her marriage too. I think fan love to blame Michael for all of it. I think I would rather see Michael with a mature, non-impulsive, non-spoiled, non-LMP type of woman. The one who doesn't "dare" things on Michael. I think any woman like that would've made a difference.

Sure I can.

Watch the Diane Sawyer interview. Lisa didn't allow biased Sawyer to get away with too many snide comments. And with Lisa being there, Michael's demeanor was more assertive as well. It's like her tough attitude rubbed-off on him for awhile too, especially considering how strongly he spoke with Barbara Walters a year after their divorce (I wish he would have continued being aggressive during interviews like that....). If Lisa had been around with Bashir, I believe she would have been able to sense his agenda and help Michael stop that production from happening the way it did. I'm only focusing in on Lisa-Marie 'cause she was the only true "wife" he ever had. All other potential women are irrelevant.

Lisa's self-insecurity was her main problem in their marriage. She could stick up for Michael, which is what I admire, but clearly not for herself. And Michael wasn't the blame for anything. He just wanted children. If Lisa had been more wise about how to handle his type of mind, that problem could have been resolved. But instead, she withdrew, which is too bad.

Travis Payne is was the head choreograher, true? The intent was to show the world what was to be expected in the upcoming tour, based on the rehearsals. That's the way I see it.

My take on the mix for This Is It

Wanna Be Startin' Somethin- Live

Jam- lipsynched using the album vocal track *

They Don't Care About Us- 90% lippsynched using album vocal track *

Human Nature- Live

Smooth Criminal- Live vocals with backing *

The Way You Make Me Feel- Live

Jackson 5ive medley- Live

I Just Can't Stop Loving You- Live

Thriller- lipsynched using album vocal track *

Beat It- Live vocals from several takes

Black Or White- Live vocals

Earth Song- lipsynched with the original 1989/1990 demo track / end live *

Billie Jean- Lipsynched using the 1981 third demo / live overdubs and ending *

Man In The Mirror- Overdubs using album track plus live vocals *

* in putting the film together they used various source material and synched the vision to one or two main audio tracks. For songs noted, where the source audio recording wasn't strong enough (Earth Song / Billie Jean for example) alternate recordings were utilised.

* also note - the version of Heal The World during the credits is the original demo vocal version

Yeah I know that, she obviously hated that he challenged Elvis's popularity in any way. I just loved that it got rubbed in even more at this event. And its also great that Lisa Marie didnt and never has felt the threat.

It may not be Halloween quite yet, but the ghouls were out in full force across the planet Saturday evening.

From Argentina to Australia; from Holland to Deutschland and dozens of undead places in between, Michael Jackson fans took to the streets in a zombie invasion because, as the late MJ sang it: “this is thriller, thriller night.”

Since 2006, fans of “Thriller” have been gathering once a year — right around Halloween time, although not necessarily when it’s “close to midnight and something evil’s lurking in the dark” — to charity-seekingly shake their dusty bones to the rhythm of the mega-selling 1980s-era hit.

In Calgary Saturday, roughly 100 people danced downtown, joining thousands of ghouls around the globe.

The goal was to break the record for the most people around the world simultaneously dancing to the hit song.

“People walking down Stephen Avenue were raising eyebrows at the site of people splattered in blood and zombies crawling along the ground and breaking into the Thriller dance,” said TJ Madigan, one of the organizers of the event in Calgary.

Money raised from the Calgary event is going to Wellspring Calgary, a charity that gives emotional support to cancer patients and families.

In Ottawa, a thronging, lurching mass of about 1,000 undead ambled through downtown streets, frightening passersby as they made their way to Parliament Hill from Beechwood Cemetery.

Unfortunately for the hoards of hungry zombies, Parliament Hill was a bad spot to look for brains. (Or so they chanted, en masse, once they got there.)

Wesley Stolarchuk, 24, has been taking part in Ottawa’s annual zombie walk for the past three years, and he’d never seen a turnout quite like Saturday’s.

He estimated that at least 1,000 people came out to strut — er, shuffle? — their stuff.

“It’s incredible,” Stolarchuk said of onlooker reactions. “My favourite is just the looks of disbelief, especially if a driver gets stuck in the middle of a swarm. They don’t really know how to take it.”

The zombies were allowed to make their way through a designated route inside the Rideau Centre — a special treat for any zombie fan, as anyone who has watched George A. Romero’s Dawn of the Dead will attest.

The zombie walk after-party, complete with “undead comedy,” a costume contest and more, took place at Zaphod Beeblebrox, a downtown nightclub.

Canadian Thriller events were scheduled for Charlottetown, Montreal, Toronto, and Ottawa, along with Port Hope, Sudbury and Kitchener, Ont., as well as in Calgary and Nanaimo, B.C.

According to the event website, Thrill The World set a world record last October, when 22,571 people from 33 nations simultaneously danced to “Thriller.”

Thrill the World organizers say they raised over $100,000 US last year and supported some 80 charities and non-profit groups around the world.

wow,he really fooled me eek I actually thought he was really singing most of those songs! It's clever the way they used "alternate vocal tracks" instead of the studio vocals from the albums.
