As long as they ain't trying to do bad imitations of hip-hop/R&B singers or glam rockers (oops did I just say that? giggle ) or don't sound like whiny bitches, then post them. smile

There's SOME. But dude, I can't find no joy on television nowadays, can you? lol

I oughta slap the shit outta you. lol

I am actually a television fanatic. I have my shows that I watch on a regular basis. There are some shows that I "love", some I "like." Glee definitely falls into my "like"category. I think it's a well put together show and love the premise. I do have a few issues with it.

1. Why do most of the students look so damn old? I thought they were 16, 17, 18 and not 19, 20 , 24? Come on, "Shuster" is around the same age as "Artie".

2. Why is Leah whoever supposedly the "star"? She's an ok singer, but a bit too broadway for me.

I could go on, but I'll stop now. Bottom line, Glee is not something that I rush home to see, but I will bother to catch up with it on the weekends.

Here's really why I can't get into it:

I watched one episode, and the storyline was just poor as fuck to me. Plus it looks like a show of racial, gender, and orientation profiling and stereotypes. I just never got the hype and everywhere I go I keep hearing about it like it was the best thing next to God so it got annoying after a while. I did try to get into it but I just...couldn't. Plus doing bad karoake versions of classic songs is a NO-NO so I just can't dig it. And using autotune? Autotune can be used creatively but sometimes people overuse it. confused

Leah, I heard, is a nasty person. I think she and Constantine from American No-Idol had a golden shower moment or something. confused Maybe that was just a rumor (and I hate rumors) but that's nasty if it was true.

Leah is really feeling herself i'm glad that jane is becoming the bigger star from this show actually and someone said about the ages these shows and movies never pick teens it's always people in their 20s if they have a young face (like I do) they can pull it off but they need to start using actual teens on these things. Most of them on Glee are early 20's and the others hitting 30 I believe lol

Yeah all of them are grown ass folks. lol Jane Lynch (I think that's her name) basically is the reason that show's on. I keep hearing about her more than the others.

I won't rag on fans of the show or even the show itself (which I am not a fan of beyond Jane Lynch's comic digs), but I find this ABSURD. Its not the same as the Beatles. I don't think any of these songs have been significant hits. It's like Stars on 45, only slightly better and with a TV show! It's the absurtidy of the music industry, I guess.

they're getting by on a couple of techinicalities. almost everything is a "single" now released simultaneously as an album, and they're credited as a group. imagine if it was 1977 and all of the songs were charting at the same time under the name "Artists on the Saturday Night Fever soundtrack"

I've tried to watch it a bunch of times. I tried because it was getting so much hype. I tried when they did the all Madonna ep because I thought I'd like that one. I tried when Fox re-broadcast the series from the beginning to cash in on the hype. I've probably watched at least eight full episodes - not my thing. It just leaves me sitting there with a puzzled look wondering why it's so popular. It's not at all meant to be a putdown against the people who do like it. Several of my friends think it's the best damn thing on TV. It just misses my happy buttons for some reason (not the least of which being that I hated high school lol ).

I think Leah and Amber are easily the 2 best singers. Leah is pretty amazing AFAIC.

It's silly how people are offended by this. The Glee Cast and Lil Wayne have so many charted singles because it's much easier for album tracks to chart now.

Agreed, and I don't even have any complaints about that because I don't care about such things. Probably 95% of all the music I listen to will never get within sniffing distance of any kind of chart.

Not at all. That's what AlexdeParis is sayin'. It's really easy to chart album tracks these days because digital sales tallies are part of the equation. Most of those Glee tracks are completely gone from the chart the next week.

Pretty much. I'm more mad at the headline by Billboard trying to MAKE it such a big deal. It's more than being offended by some little show lol
