Does anyone see/hear the Prince influence?
Francis And The Lights - Darling It's Alright
Especially the dancing from 1.55 onwards. It's actually a great song and video and the album isn't bad either!

Yeah. There's a lot of early Prince vibing going on throughout the entire song. Nothing that sounds like any one particular song, though. | |

I agree with most comments above. I can't put my finger on it though and what reminded me of Prince upon hearing/seeing the video. It must be the soul in his voice and the count off and dance section. Kinda reminded me of 'I Would Die 4 U' in a weird way...
Nevertheless, it encouraged me to download the album which is short and sweet (8 songs, 26 minutes)

I don't hear a lick of Prince in it. I do, however, hear a LOT of Peter Gabriel and that mid 80's British pop type influence. A prominent synth ≠ Prince. | |

Speaking of cool new bands who are Prince-like, this new artist called Twin Shadow is totally on an early 80s Prince vibe

Zero Prince, but interesting nevertheless.
I loved their Video for The Top, though I thought the "dancing" was a bit laughable. Here, it actually looks like dude might have some skills, albeit with a quirky style. Ὅσον ζῇς φαίνου
