Faith Evans To Play Florence Ballard (Of The Supremes) In New Biopic Faith Evans has been picked to play Florence Ballard in a new biopic about the tragic life of the fallen singer. Ballard, who died abruptly at the age of 32, was once the lead vocalist of the iconic group The Supremes before being forced out in favour of diva Diana Ross. No further details about the film are available yet but one thing is certain: Evans has haunting resemblance to Ballard

Thats her PR's doing, and I still can't forget when she did an interview with MTV during the release of Faithfully where they said she was signed to play Billie Holiday.

That's like Jimmy Stewart being in his mid 40's and playing Charles Lindbergh. Faith is older than the age Flo died at. You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton

See? This is why I just don't think it's gonna get past the PR releases.

Some 20-year-old with no knowledge of Motown or the Supremes.
And to be frank, Flo was not forced out because of Diana Ross. She was forced out because she didn't play the game Berry wanted the group to play - to present themselves as a polished pop group.
I'm really hating the fact that they're playing Diana Ross as the bad guy in the Florence Ballard story. That's just not accurate. [Edited 10/9/10 10:09am]

If that happens Beyonce's hate meter is gonna triple. Cool for Faith. [Edited 10/9/10 11:39am] Don't laugh at my funk

Nice pick. I'm saving "Congrats Faith" for later, tho. We don't know for sure yet.
I'm not completely doubting the possibility, but if this is true, why didn't she mention it somewhere in this interview?
