Joe Jackson - Night & Day Here's a dude I never see get a mention anywhere! Actually, I only just "discovered"him a few months ago. I just recently got the Night & Day album because of the song Steppin out, which I was familiar with and also think is a masterpiece! This album is the bomb!! Another World, Tv Age, China Town are all great tracks. Anybody else into Joe Jackson? Love this Album?? How come he never gets a mention on these music list shows?? Any other albums of his I should check out??

Wow, you've really opened a wonderful box of goodies with JJ. Almost like hearing Purple Rain for the first time and thinking, hmmm...this Prince guy is pretty good, what else does he do? Honestly, I've been following Joe since the early 1980s, and everything he touches is high quality. He, like Prince, is not afraid to try new things, to challenge himself, his fans and his musicians. Where to next? Try Body and Soul (1984), the follow-up to Night and Day. It's got a great organic, live feel to the music and playing. I even prefer it to Night and Day. Big World (1986) was a cool expreiment. Record totally new songs live in front of a concert audience. At the time, the CD format was new, and this was like an album and a half. The vinyl actually had three sides of music - two records, but the fourth side was lft blank! Lots of great songs here.
Joe Jackson's music is sophisticated, witty, rich and very diverse in styles. If you don't like one album, chances are you might like something else he has done. Stand at the crossroads, and look, and ask for the ancient paths...(Jeremiah 6:16) www.ancientfaithradio.com

Excellent to see someone echo the work of Joe Jackson, great diverse artist, he can do Jazz, Pop/Rock with a full band, a classical record here and there, swing and jive, he really has it all covered "We went where our music was appreciated, and that was everywhere but the USA, we knew we had fans, but there is only so much of the world you can play at once" Magne F
