The Social Networking of Justin Timberlake? I loved the new movie The Social Network and the performances therein, but there's an awful lot of hype surrounding Justin Timberlake's performance. While I think the perfromance is competent, you'd think from the hype that it is a revelation. I don't think so. I read Justin "lied-cheated-and-stole" to get the part. I can see that once the producers saw Justin read it was probably a no-brainer. I feel they cast to type. It's pretty much Justin playing Justin with a killer script behind him. Is his PR machine behind all the hype? Did he luck out on some current acting lessons? You decide. It just feels like everyone is determined to make Justin great. He's competent.
