The Dazz Band Appreciation Thread

Jammy!

2 keep it real, I never jumped too deep into the Dazz discography until approx. 2 weeks ago. Of course I knew about let it whip and joystick but I always compared them to the Gap band for some reason and thought I wouldn't find much to like (Sorry Gap fans, maybe I should check for more of their stuff when I get the time).

Drop some knowledge/songs!

You're so glam, every time I see you I wanna slam!

"Keep It Live" & "Joystick" are great albums. But there's a lot more jams from these boys.

A few examples:

"Shake It Up" (1980) http://www.google.com/url...mp;cad=rja

Albums I'd recommend for your further study:

"Invitation To Love" (1980)

"On The One" (1982)

"Jukebox" (1984)

"Hotspot" (1985)

"Wild & Free" (1986)

"Here We Go Again" (1998)

Oh..one last thing.....

If you REALLY wanna mack on some Dazz Band science....check em out before they were "The Dazz Band".

Originally called "Kinsman Dazz"..they had 2-3 albums in the late 70's (Youtube has some tracks).

Disco-ish funk stuff & good times if that's your thang.

SuperFunk59

Own all the Dazz band LP's, love 'em to bits but I'd really love to get a hold of the Kinsman Dazz stuff which is only 2 LP's on 20th Century Records -

Kinsman Dazz (1978) & Dazz (1979).

Even the 'bad' albums they dropped have some good songs

L.O.V.E. M.I.A. and Single Girls 4 example.
