i don't like the opening "cheer". it just sounds dumb.

did Mariah write this one? she definitely has a knack for writing Christmas songs, but i to me this one is just alright. nothing memorable. it sounds just like what it is...a Christmas song by Mariah Carey.

Yes, she wrote "Oh Santa" and 3 additional holdiay songs on the album.

October 1st is a bit early for me to hear a new Christmas song. I can't imagine recording a Christmas album in summertime.

I remember this footage of her in the studio with Randy Jackson a couple of months back, they were trying to keep quiet on what sort of music they were recording at the time but in one of the windows you could see a reflection of Christmas lightings from the other side of the room

Most "new" Christmas albums start getting promotion in October nowadays.

I don't think the song is horrible, but just a bit too childish. Kids will probably love it.

Considering her last Christmas album is a classic, I'm sure she's put everything into making this one just as good.

OK...I've listened to it twice now and think it's insanely catchy.

I'm glad she didn't take the easy route and try to rip off "All I Want For Christmas Is You".

The song stands strongly on its own and I think it will do extremely well.

I like the "Hollaback Girl" vibe going on in the beginning.

She is targeting that audience however she needs to grow up......

I forgot that she worked with Randy & James Poyser, def looking forward for this.

I could be wrong, but I'm leaning towards the latter.

I HATE Christmas songs, but for some reason like All I Want for Christmas. Had hope for this one...but nOPE...that was horrible.

hey, whaddayaknow... this is actually pretty good.

why can't she come up with something with this much fun-loving energy (and an actual melody!) when she's doing "regular" albums.

when she records from now on, she should go into the studio with intention of making a Christmas album every time, then when it's finished, replace every holiday reference with a real-world word or lyric and put it out as is.

as nice as this is, though, I hope they put out an AC version that ditches that annoying, pointless cheerleading bullshit. it detracts from an otherwise nice track.

This isn't nearly as bad as I thought she was going to be. She sounds pretty good. She not whispering!!! But, I hope she has more grown-up songs on the album.

the vocals on this does NOT even compare to All i Want for christmas. and the lyrics "Santa gonna make you mine" Sounds so ghetto, and stupid. Anyone singing this song will sound ridiculous.

i hope she has better singles. im really looking forward to the christmas album.
