Bonus Old School R&B Song Of The Day(1/28/03)..Lou Rawls-Let Me Be Good To You

Oh shoot, why not!!! Since Mistermaxx gave props to one of Lou's album on a thread. I figured why not give props to Lou on this 1979 song. This one was great, from the album of the same name. Lou lays down those great vocals as only he can. One misses a voice like Lou nowadays. This was one of the many great songs of 1979 that sent the 70's out in a grand fashion.

"Why don't you, why don't we get together some time so I can be good to you".

I love at the end of the song{the long version} when he calls the woman up on the phone and he's rapping to her about the plans he has for them that evening.

This was one of Lou's great songs. In the 70's my parents had nearly all of his records.

(LOL). Nice post bro. Hey everybody you really check out Lou's 1978 Lou Rawls Live album. People always give props to Bruce Springsteen for the great stories he tells in his concerts, but Lou is a great storyteller as well. This live album is superb and shows that Lou can handle a wide range of musical styles and material. Check it out, I think you be impressed. I really dig Lou's rich voice.
