tony! toni! tone 's lead singer VS mint condition's lead singer

lets not forget that mint conditon had like 70 damn members and the lead singers had a tacky left patch goatee and a severe gap

and lets not forget raphael saadiq had braces in his prime ....im sorry but everytime i think of the song "anniversary " i think of braces

but really, who was the better singer ? they sound a little alike confused

I'm not personally moved by either, but if we're talking strictly vocals there's ZERO comparison -- Stokley MURDERS Raphael Saadiq.

It's odd. I've heard Stokley, and I totally recognize his talent -- always have. But something about Mint Condition's work does nothing for me. An orger recently hipped me to some work he did with a side band in Paris, though. Different feel than his usual repertoire. I'm kind of feeling it.

Hell yeah. If I could nail a dead on performance of "Breakin My Heart", I'd be happy with my ability as a singer at that point. lol

I guess you're younger than i am and are used to 3 and 4 member groups

like TLC, SWV and Jodeci. lol Mint has never had more than 6 official members

although drummer Chris Dave was the unofficial 7th member for several years.

Also Mint is a real band(that actually plays instruments) not a so called boy band so you should expect them to have at least 6 members.

Sound alike? Stokley and Rapheal are both tenors and that's about the only similarity in their sounds.

My Dear

U Will Know

It was difficult to even pay attention to the voice as the Mint Condition gig before the prince shows was dead boring. People were quickly moving away after a few songs to get some drinks. Very uneventful stuff.

Stokley of course!

^^ Hm, maybe it wasn't a good night, cause I've seen Mint Condition in concert many times and they've always been amazing. Great band!
