John Lennon Reissues

so has anybody gotten these yet? They came out today.

I picked up Double Fantasy and Milk & Honey - - - both sound incredible. I'm a little "meh" on the "stripped" version of Double Fantasy... kinda like polished demos. Don't really do much for me.

But I definitely want to get the rest of them. They sound beautiful.

Hey Pandurito

I have this box set in my queue for purchase but am planning on waiting for the price to drop. Why the letdown?

The box is beautiful and all but I already had the albums and haven't noticed any improvement in sound. Maybe it's my fault. I had the remasters from 10 years ago.

Plus I expected the Double Fantasy Naked to be in the box as announced and it isn't. Oh well.

shrug

I see. Thanks

I was just reading a few on line reviews and they stated that this box went back to the original masters and not the Yoko sanctioned remasters from a few years back. For some that's a good thing, for others, not so much.

I also see a number of folks complaining about your exact point too (stripped Double Fantasy). Frustrating they can't get this stuff right. In the non-CD purchasing age we live in, you'd figure they would go the extra mile to make sure the buyer felt they got their money's worth....
