The Smashing Pumpkins are offering a free download of a new song, "Spangled" on its website, www.smashingpumpkins.com.

It's the sixth release from the band's in-progress 44-song project Teargarden By Kaleidyscope.

Me, too. And I'm rabid with anticipation for the full complete album. I admire Billy's DIY ethic.

Love the SP. Love the new band configuration. I'm over this one track at a time method of release, though. It was interesting for a few songs, I'm tired of it now. It's totally anti-climactic. "Woo-hoo! Another..... song.... " If he wants to give them away, that's cool! Who would complain about that? But at this point I wish he'd wait until each EP was ready for release. Then he could send out the links to four or five songs at once and announce that it was ready for purchase. There is no way I'm going to stay interested in this current plan for 44 songs. Or even 22 of 'em.

I like this song quite a bit. Feels like it could fit on either Mellon Collie or Adore. With the 44 song goal and various styles they're playing I'm definitely starting to get a Mellon Collie vibe from this project.

Oh... and I really want one of these

you should check out the preview of "the fellowship" from the vampire diaries soundtrack.i really like the sound of it..if they are going in this direction i'm excited..
