I know there's a thread somewhere about Seal's new album but the "search" function brings up nothing for me. Anyway, this website is streaming 6 new songs from his Sept 28 2010 release "Commitment". Not bad. Very organic. Lush. Lots of strings. It has the feel and sound of his Soul record but songwriting is more akin to the mellower softer side of Seal. Even the upbeat stuff has that kinda vibe. It sounds solid though.Doesn't sound forced. Kinda diggin it. I look forward to getting this when released.

I'm guessing your a true Seal fan Ernest. If so, I think you will enjoy the new material. I listened a few more times and the songs really started to sink in and take shape. The songs sound very natural and not forced. I look forward to hearing the whole CD.

Well go listen and judge for yourself.

I will say the single fits better in the context of the 6 songs I've heard. Plus, IMO, the single is not among the stronger tracks. Weird how that always seems to be the case.

I actually like it too but I think some of the other material is stronger. Truth be told, I like all the songs I've heard. They get better with each listen. I'm trying not to over do it though until the whole thing is out.

"Secret" has NOTHING on the other 5 songs!

What ever attracted me 2 Seal's music is GONE.

This is a very good album. David Foster did a really good job producing Seal this time around. It just works. Not Seal of 1991 or 1994 but has elements and nods to that period. At least the more acoustic stuff of that era. I like a lot of the orchestration too. It suits Seal well this time around.

Production is spot on. Makes all the difference. turns a good song to a great song.

I think "Silence" and "The Way I lie" are capturing my attention right now.

very good record its got alot of good songs, very well produced, some dance some classical vibes going on too, very good mix

I think every song has really beautiful high points.. and I honestly think the epic "string" sound in a few of these work rather well. Listen to that lush production value "Letting go" has.. the guitars and intricate sounds work beautifuly.
