He was trying to look like one of those Japanese cartoons during that era. I didn't like that.

I liked this hair and the fact that he has put on a bit of weight. The only thing I didn´t like that he lost his smile during that era. But I think he looked cute here (even though this is not the best picture). I hated the Oxford speech type of look.

Between Teddy and Lenny..I'm thrilled. Nothing against The Jackson brothers but I hope

they don't add their "backgrounds" to every track. I want the vocals untouched.

If you ask me the "This Is It" demo sounded ten times better than the one the

brothers "added" to. neutral

It's track 15 on the "This Is It" album. The second version on the album

is the one they all tankered with. Not that they aren't great vocalists,

but I just don't think they belong on a MJ solo record. He wouldn't

have had them on it when he was alive, so why now? To get a cut?

The "Original Version", right?

"This is it" was never meant to be released , A horrible song that MJ himself felt that it wasn't strong enough to see the light of the day , I dont want the jacksons to be involved either....

Humberto Garcia did 50 recordings with MJ ,Most of them from the invincible sessions , lord have mercy:-o eek eek

I'm gonna check the tracklisting too because I surely didn't see it unless it's in the deluxe edition. lol

I think that version kept me from buying the album. lol THOUGH it was up for a good price (only seven dollars) when I went lol

Chilean producer is reached for the new Jackson album

Humbero Gatica's name is linked with MJ's name. He works for Bad, Thriller and Invincible and now he's ready to review his works. In early summer of 2010, John McClain's people get in contact with him. McClain wants to have the 50 recordings and leftovers he did record with Jackson, which he have in his studio. The plan is to use this recordings for MJ's new album and the seven next albums with Sony. According Rolling Stone, the album will be for sale in november, but Gatica, who will work also as a producer, doesn't know any confirmed date. Gatica said: "It's a great stuff, it has a lot of hip hop and R&B, and it shows a fit MJ. Almost all the recordings are from Invincible".

It's not that he felt it wasn't strong enough, but probably felt it didn't fit the projects he was working on. And remember, he and Anka had a falling out over the songs.

AND Safire recorded it and released it back in 1991

and I think the most emotional I got after Mike passed was listening to Smile from the album, this song written by Charlie Chaplin who also got a raw deal from the system expressed Mike perfectly in his later years. DS, They Don't Care About Us, good stuff.

I agree. Smile had me tearing up along with Call On Me and One Day In Your Life

Before he passed, I was going through his catalog and had to say "wow" because this man's catalog is one of the most impressive I've listened to. One thing I wish people understood (especially on this forum), is that it's not always about who wrote the song, or played the instruments on it, but it's about the feeling it gives the listener, and that's why Michael was able to connect with so many people around the world

My man, i respect your passion, you know that. I was a full on fan at one point, in the vein as all you guys, attending events etc. I knew my Michael stuff.

It's not about who played what etc, you're right (but, it's a huge factor to determine talent), but Mikes tracks don't hit deep with many, like me, because he was a pop artist at heart. His musical compositions are not that great (nor at times his own entirely) when compared to others because that was not him and that bars him from competing with people who can do more than him...These are the others who give ME that feeling you describe. Mikes music doesn't carry the incredibly creative musicianship, the deep poetry driven lyrics i can find elsewhere. He isn't THAT kind of an artist.

Mike gave us the best of pop music (and even that's arguable as top pop tunes were produced from a source that also did more artistic things with actual musicianship and created most of it all alone wink lol) that relied on catchy melodies and hooks, with some "deeper" more indulgent stuff, sparsely along the way. There isn't much musicianship nor room to be challenged. Lyrics were so-so too....These are my judgements based on what i know of today.

It says it all when i say i was in all your places and then discovered the real deals later in my life. I got deeper. I'm not putting a downer on MJ here, merely trying to explain why some don't see it your way....or at least anymore.

Apparently Paul felt Michael had stolen the audio tapes to the songs he and Anka were working (I think Anka was partially the reason why my upload of Michael's demo for "Love Never Felt So Good" was taken down due to so-called "copyright issues" lol). It's weird that Michael never got to finish his own recording of it if he wanted to record it for his album. shrug
