Singer Lady Gaga's meat dress designer has revealed the garment is set to become jerky. The 24-year-old recently wore a dress made out of meat to the MTV VMAs that was made by designer Franc Fernandez.

The dress was made out of a meat known as 'matambre' in Fernandez's home country of Argentina and he said the garment will now be frozen.

Asked what will be done with it, he said to E! Online: "The dress will go through a process where it becomes a sort of 'jerky' and will be archived. Thank you." Fernandez had previously told MTV that the dress was made out of meat from his family butcher.


More food and Gaga...Bosses at Lady Gaga's record label have reportedly told the singer to put on weight because she is too thin. Reports suggest that the Grammy winner's slimness can be put down to a busy touring schedule and a strict fitness regime.

However, the 24-year-old's on-stage collapse earlier this year is said to have left executives at Interscope concerned about her health.

"She was baffled by the request since the industry usually only wants skinny," an insider told MTV. "She feels like she almost can't win either way. Her record company said she can't continue moving at breakneck speed without eating. These habits have to end right now."

The news follows claims made in a new biography about chart topper that alleged Gaga's extreme dieting had put her in hospital six times last year.
