Shontelle is set to drop her 2nd solo album next week, called No Gravity. The singer, who is from Barbados, was once Rihanna's drill sergeant when they were briefly in a cadet training program together, She had a moderate hit single in 2008 with "T-Shirt", and currently has a hit ballad called "Impossible".

Critics obviously are saying she's trying to sound too much like Rihanna etc...but Shontelle has a better voice and I like some of her tracks. Shontelle doesn't appear to want to distance herself from Rihanna anyway, as she is featured on one track off of Rihanna's upcoming album Loud.
