Will El Debarge's Second Chance

Will El's Second Chance be his biggest solo success? I am hoping and praying so. I've heard the whole Second Chance track and I'm just captivated by it. it speaks to me . Vocally he still has "IT"

Which is far more than In can say for the current line up of R&B/Pop male singers. Hope the whole album/cd is just as good as his last.

Someone had posted on another post Bobby Debarge was a better vocalist. During the first two Switch albums he was at his absolute best. But El surpassed his mentor vocally IMO starting with the Gemini album.

If you're talking in terms of past sales more than likely not. It's a different game.

Success for him this time around would be making a good solid album that his

core fans will appreciate and the R&B Adult Urban stations will play.

stunning? i think chilling is the better word but I understand. I think me an vainandy r around the same age so he remembers . I think El sounds angelic. His voice soothes & comforts me. and the song second chance speakes to my situation I've never done time before, but have screwed up. and it gives me hope. to forgive myself and move on. saying goodbye to the past promises. starting over.

Good morining script. lol

As phunkdaddy mentioned, El should do well with Adult contemporary music (AC). His fanbase is near his age give or take a few years in either direction but it's been a loyal committed base so, he should do well if, the albums good. To his credit he isn't hung up on where he performs, a lot of musicians who had been succesful once feel that can't or won't perform here or there. El will go and sing wherever his fans are and that should push sales as well.

I agree. I'm just happy to see him free, clean, and making new music. I can't wait to hear this album.

I hope he can pull this off, even a moderate success would be good for him... a new CD out and a few little tour dates here and there in small venues in major cities would do him very well. He looked good to me on the BET awards, sounded great too.

Why? He's only 9. His parents (or you) should educate him. biggrin Now if he was 21, I'd been speechless. lol
