There is a HUGE difference between the tenets of "Satanism" and Devil worshipping. "Satanism" is truly a belief in the power of oneself: not relying on outside influences (ie. God or Gods) to take credit or on which to place blame. The term Satanism is used to state the absence of God...not actually believing in a devil (which truch Satanists do NOT). It is a form of atheism.

many of these have different views on satan

for example theistic satanist-actually do believe in a being entitled as "Satan"

lucifierians are more complex-but its like a connecting to a spiritual form of satan--or they associate lucifier with the roman god.
