Last Sunday I visited a record fair. Now I used to love record fairs but It's been years since I went to one. I've found them to be redundant since sites like Netsounds and Gemm appeared.

However the visit paid dividends as I came across and bought a vinyl copy of Xavion's album Burnin' Hot.

I remeber reading about them here on the org being compared to Mazarati and so picked the album up as it was only £5.

I'm so glad I did. A great mix of Synths and Hair Metal.

I totally hear the Mazarati comparison, also was interesed to read thanks given to the mighty Hall And Oates on the back cover.

Xavion actually opened for Hall & Oates on tour that year.

OMG I love this album so much. I need a better copy of itthough but you are right. It's a great mix of new wave funk and hair metal. What a combo!!

The lead singer sounds a bit like Terry from Mazarati and they have a similar look but the music is very different.

Xavion were a "Rock" band while Mazarati is undeniably Funked out.

Aside from Strawberry Lover, There isn't anything by Mazarati with much of a hard rock edge.

Check it out.......even after all these years, still one member of Xavion still out there doin it....
