Dude, we've been loving this girl since early summer. She has a great energy, and nails it every time she performs. Welcome to Metropolis.

Couldn't agree more, she nailed it. I've seen some of the greast soul/funk music innovators live over the last 25 years & that gig was up there with the best I've ever seen. She's on another crazy level. Loads of energy & a voice of near-perfection. All that & she didn't even play my fav track 'Neon Valley Street' from her new album.

I've been hooked on this women since 2007 when acutally someone on this board posted about her. Next week i'm going see her 4 times in 4 day! I can not wait!!

I don't know if you have seen her before but you are going to love the show very much.

i was a bit drunk when i made my original post and totally lost what i was going to say.....hehehe.

All i will say is that she rocked, great dancing, at one point doing a perfect moonwalk right across the stage, great gig, great band, pure theatre.......the future. Enjoy.

I saw those reviews and they seem to just come off as a bit ignorant to what happens in the music world... Their complaints to seem to be the short length of the show and as well as lack of back-up singers and horn section... Which lead you believe that those folks seem to be under the impression that Janelle Monae has a catalog that runs 10 albums deep and has the money to tour a 12 piece band... Of course she could use improvements. Nobody is perfect out the gate... But I think she'll improve in time, with practice and hopefully more money.
