Gated Reverb

What do you think of it?

I love the sound of a good gated snare/kick.

They demand your attention and can give a song a lot of 'pop'.

I dislike weak snares and claps found in a lot of(but not limited to) todays music so I stand behind the powerful noise.

You're so glam, every time I see you I wanna slam!

I'd say it was great in the 80s, up until guys like Jam and Lewis monopolized it and processed the hell out of it. Then I started hating the powerful noise. Not a big Janet fan.

The funkiest drums to me are the dry, smallish beats in disco songs.
