Roger "I play the talkbox"
Love the extended version. LOL at him dissing the artists sampling him. He forgives them though. James Brown dissed the artists that sampled him with "I'm real" around that time aswell

Roger and Zapp, once heard, never forgotten. Quality.

... i tried, but can't get into this ... and the rhymin' is not strong imo. Gives me the same feel when Prince threw rap in his 90's work Roger's mix of funk with swingbeat worked imo better on some trax from his solo-album "Bridging the Gap", released after this "Vibe"-album with Zapp.

Give me Zapp II anyday, every song on that album is a winner. The Vibe album that this track come from was, in my opinion, a bit bland in parts and was no where as memorable as the second album.

Roger produced this (imo much more catchier) jam in the same year as "Vibe", for his late son

Wait... I saw dude performing with his father on BET when I was like five but I had no idea that was ACTUALLY his son. No wonder. He was even playing on the talk box like his dad.
